It has officially been one full week now since surgery. I never in a million years figured this last week would have gone so well. I guess it usually pays to plan for the worst so you can be thrilled when the result is anything better!
Today was day 2 for work and although I was/am extremely tired still, I did not take a daytime nap today. I'm afraid that means I will be passed out sleeping in the next hour though. That's ok, me and my moon boots don't have much to do at night anyway! :)
Another friend came to visit at lunch today and brought another meal, which I will heat up on Friday to save my hubby from another night of cooking. I also got a call from two other friends asking me which night they can bring us food and got several meals delivered last week. I am so truly blessed by some of the most wonderful friends I person could ever have. Not just the ones bringing the meals, but also the ones calling and emailing just to see how I am and if I need anything. It is very touching and I am so appreciative. :)
So, tomorrow is the BIG DAY! My FIRST POST OP APPOINTMENT. Can you tell how excited I am? I have been waiting for this day for a week now - LOL! Photos to follow, of course. :)
Glad you made it through a whole day without napping : ) Can't wait to hear what the doctor has to say after 1 week and your recovery progress. And of course I look forward to the pictures too : )
ReplyDeleteSo glad your first week has gone so well and having food brought in is great!! Look forward to hearing about your 1st post-op visit today. I tried to email my photos, but couldn't get the addresses to go through. I use an IPad so I am going to try it another way.
