Woohoo - I feel terrific!
I got a great nights sleep and wasn't really nervous at all this morning. I took my dog for her last walk this morning and watched my husband eat eggs, hasbrowns, toast, juice and coffee - UGH - while I caught up on the news and FB before my check in.
Upon check in I read and signed the paperwork, then only sat down briefly before they called me back to put on the cute little drafty gown. No warm chocolate chip cookies were offered at check-in, in case you're wondering - LOL!
Got my IV hooked up, chatted with the nurse, the anesthesiologist, then the doctor, made a couple of calls and we were rolling down the hall.
The surgery staff were very nice and introduced me by name to the team when I was wheeled in to the OR. I was moved from the gurnee to the table. Then they spread my arms out on two perpendicular boards, slipped a mask slightly in front of my face...and that's all I remember!
When I woke up I felt a little discomfort in my left foot. Not sure what they gave me, but within a few minutes the pain was magically gone! I was released within the hour and made it home and to the couch with no issues and promptly fell to sleep.
As of now....no pain and I am relaxing comfortably....just praying this lasts through the night!
Here's today's pics. Can't see much yet, but those toes are looking pretty straight!
YAY!!! Congrats on being done!!! Now take it day to day!
